I built these two custom puppets in December for a client who gave them as a Christmas gift. The puppets were a lot of fun to build. I used antron/muppet fleece for the skin of the puppets. The two guys that received the puppets were very happy with them, and they are Brockton McKinney and Bo Fader of Lost Story Studios out of Carrboro North Carolina. They put out all kinds of comic books. They are planning to use their new custom puppets to create some wacky videos for youtube.  See more about them at www.loststorystudios.com

The Building Process

I took some photos along the way as the puppets were in the process of being built. Here you can see the blank heads, the foam bodies and more.

These are custom noses I sculpted out of clay and then vacuum formed out of plastic. I like making the noses this way, it gives the puppet more detail.

Here is a set of completed puppet arms with arm rods and a set not yet sewn together.
